I am a postdoctoral research fellow at Heidelberg University (Germany), where I was sent by the Oriental Institute of the Czech Academy of Sciences for two years. During my doctoral studies at Charles University in Prague (Czech Republic) and research stays at East China Normal University (China), National Tsing Hua University (Taiwan), and Harvard University (USA), I developed research interests in modern East Asian literature, colonial modernity and identities in East Asia, and the intellectual history of modern China. In 2022, I defended my dissertation entitled “The Sinitic Nexus: Becoming Asian in the Chinese-language Literature of Manchuria under Japanese Rule.” I have published scholarly papers in peer-reviewed journals and presented my research outcomes at several international conferences and workshops.
